Welcome to the Utility Policy & Management Newsroom, a public update space for news, announcements, events, reflections, and resources related to the development of the Utility Policy & Management Community.
This newsroom will share updates on the community’s activities and growth, including calls for participation, event announcements, research spotlights, practitioner engagement, institutional updates, and emerging conversations in utility governance and infrastructure policy.
The Utility Policy & Management Community is a cross-institutional field-building effort that connects scholars, practitioners, policymakers, regulators, students, utility professionals, nonprofit leaders, and public administrators working across electricity, water, wastewater, stormwater, natural gas, broadband, and related infrastructure systems.
Utilities are central to public life. They shape affordability, reliability, resilience, sustainability, public health, economic activity, and community well-being. Yet utility systems are often discussed separately across sectors, disciplines, and professional communities. This newsroom is intended to help bring those conversations together.
Through this space, we will highlight developments at the intersection of public policy, public administration, utility governance, infrastructure management, energy and water systems, broadband access, affordability, reliability, sustainability, innovation, and equity.
As the Utility Policy & Management Community continues to take shape, this newsroom will serve as a public archive of updates, opportunities, and shared learning.
